Occupational
Therapy
is the rehabilitative
profession involved in the relief of pain and
restoration of function. It is a health and rehabilitation
profession that helps individuals achieve independence in their lives
despite disabilities. Occupational therapists and occupational
therapy assistants work with people from all ages whom, because of
physical, developmental, social or emotional problems, need specialized
assistance to lead productive and satisfying lives.
The primary goal of our
Occupational & Physical therapy practice is to provide
comprehensive personalized care to individuals, with upper extremity
injuries/problems. We strive to teach each patient to manage their
distinct problem(s) in the fewest number of visits possible and to
avoid dependence on ongoing care. Special
attention is given to adaptive equipment and splinting which are
needed for protection of injured/healing structures, while providing
for optimum function.
